Located at the Gulhane Park, the museum of Tanzimat houses 19th century documents, artifacts, medallions and objects belonging to the Ottoman Tanzimat period, when the government tried to limit the power of the sultans

Before the museum moved in 1983 to the present location in Gulhane Park (below Topkapi Palace) it was located in the Ihlamur Pavilion.
