Located in the Hunkar Pavilion (royal residence), the museum has exquisite antique carpets, Ottoman rugs and kilims from all over Turkey. The Hunkar Pavilion, which stands north of the mosque inside the Sultanahmet Mosque complex, was the place where the Sultan used to rest before he prayed in the mosque.
